Professional Digital Printing by Direct to Media – DTM are proud to have partnered with Signracer and invested in one of their latest large scale digital printers. This equipment allows us to print small, one off pieces, as well as larger runs or even multiple panels to create large wall art and building hoarding.
The installed Signracer has a bed of 2.5 metres (in width) and is able to print onto flexible or rigid media up to 50mm in thickness. Length is only restricted by the media and we have printed to 6 metres on a single, hard sheet.
The 5 print head device will allow prints up to 1200 DPI (the average photo is just 300 DPI) for crystal clear photos, images and designs. Using clear media, single sided prints can even be colour enhanced both sides for all round viewing.
Most conventional printers will print to rolled vinyl or film and then apply this to a rigid board to give the required effect. Applying said films to board can cause colour degradation from constant rubbing and removing air bubbles on large surfaces can be problematic. Printing direct to media eliminates these issues. Direct to Media can print to almost any flexible or rigid substrate up to 50mm thickness including:
